I don't have a mortgage with Santander, but would fill up the 6% saver and have all my bills coming out of my 123 Lite account at the moment I'm not sure how to figure out which will be better I'm not sure what I get cashback from currently or if there is more with the Edge

My mother has now got online banking with Santander and initially logged in with the temporary ID she received I told her this would change to the 16-digit number on her debit card (like mine is) but apparently this is not the case She recalls having to choose some login passwords or sequences but can't quite remember

Can be useful to have at least one separate account or even keeping just 1 account with Santander incase other things come up or you want to budget or something As a more general thing it probably isn't providing you have a better account elsewhere

If your goal is to get the £150 switch incentive from Santander for opening a new Edge account, then what you are proposing (converting your existing 123 Account into an Edge account) will not qualify unless you also switch a non-Santander account from another bank into the newly-converted Edge account

I've got a Santander 123 account (not Lite) which pays interest of 1 5% and 3% cashback on bills The fee is £2 I'm thinking of changing this to an Edge account which pays no interest, the fee is £3 and just 1% cashback on bills However, it does have the 4% savings account Before I look to switch, can anyone advise why I shouldn't?
