Thing is, besides this issue, Rothys are one of the most comfortable ballet flats in how they conform to my foot, there's no pressure or uncomfortable rubbing anywhere I haven't found another pair that quite feels the same way Including Tieks or Cole haan, which still give me red marks on top of my foot where the edge of the shoe hits my skin

It Worked And also didn't damage my shoes AT ALL It's 6 months later and I'm wearing them right now actually I make a point to dry them as soon as they get wet (take the insoles out and let them air dry) and wash them in the machine with oxiclean as soon as they start getting stinky again It's keeping the odor under control and saved my shoes

Just for anyone stumbling across this thread a year later like i did Rothy's updated their online care instructions and now include a step about sprinkling baking soda inside them overnight to deodorize

Pp- doesn’t seem like you have Rothys? I like the shoes I don’t think they are terribly expensive , maybe $100 I have 2 pairs They are reasonably comfortable, no break in period no blisters Of course, they aren’t sneakers There are free returns so you can try they out at home

I loved Tom’s and Vans in middle school But I’m out of shoes to wear as well I bring up Vans because that’s what Rothys remind me of, skate shoes that moms wear, lol I haven’t brought myself to buy them But I did buy myself a pair of boots from Tom’s, I do think they need to update the quality of their canvas shoe

But yes, when I walked 3 4 of a mile to metro to work, my shoes did not last very long I rotated flats a lot, but they would sometimes only make it 6 months of regular wear If you are wearing these daily, that's pretty good even though it's been a year

I wrote to customer service, sent pics, and they said they were "snags" and to pull the threads back through, but they are not snags, they are holes, and now my shoes looks shabby I'm bummed, because otherwise I find them quite comfortable They are my commuting shoes, so I wear them a lot but am not particularly hard on them

I just got the Rothy's pointy toe, I sized up 5 They are comfy but the first day I did have to put a bandaid on one of my heels Also, the material is weird like cloth-like They don't breathe so my feet sweat, unlike in normal leather shoes They are washable, so I guess that's the solution I like them so far they're cute and comfortable
