SMH online is littered with press releases disguised as news and excessive co-promotion to their income generating websites This is not the journalism you're looking for, rather you could buy some print that covers your personal interests, that is what will keep actual journalism alive

Personally think stock picking in semis will perform better than SMH We already got past the massive explosion of them being introduced to everything Now you have to look at who will dominate the market over next 20 years in industries (like NVDA, AMD, ON, QCOM, etc…)

Last time I ck'd (about 12 months ago) XSD outperforms SOXX and they both outperform SMH, but I'd still rather own SMH cause it trades about 2x more volume than SOXX and 5x more volume than XSD SMH's underperformance is minimal to me vs liquidity smaller bid ask spread SMH provides
