Another con is you cant haul tall stuff in your bed anymore, but that’s obvious I also wish i ordered it with the yakima tracks installed rather than a bare roof I dont know how much off roading you do OP, but “wheelin” with a shell on there makes the truck feel less nimble and more clunky so that’s kind of annoying

Initially just used ratchet straps but I didn't like the way the bed walls lean so I took bent some sheet metal to make a vertical mount PS: They hold a 5-gallon steel jerry can just as well and I can put 2 water jugs on the same side

You'll rip the bed apart before the tie down points fail Not true of the OEM solution That point is one that should be considered, actually, as a decent ratchet strap could probably cause damage to the BED, where as the old plastic adjustable slider would fail before that occured This is where Charvonia's D-rings come in
