It certainly can be very strong and Lich probably has the best defenses in game in general In my experience you can take 6000 damage in a split second from normal straight ES gameplay (not slams or anything just some ranged phys units like ezomyte archers appearing at the bottom of your screen) while ES+EV doesnt really have any

Edit: Just to be clear, the relevant thing that my company makes specifically is a UI-based tool for creating, managing and publishing SKOS taxonomies, as well as products for integrating and querying that data in combination with other sources I don't particularly recommend managing your taxonomy by hand-writing TTL files or whatever
