- National Merit Discussion Class of 2026 - National Merit Scholarship . . .
Hey! Just wanted to create a discussion thread for the Class of 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program I’m aware that it is a bit early in the game, but as the last round of PSAT scores will be released next week, I think it would be smart to have a head start!
- Realistic PSAT improvement between 10th and 11th grade?
Those were the first kids to take the new PSAT and they and their families were subjected to a whole new level of experience in an already anxiety-filled process A LOT of NM hopefuls who thought they were safe missed by one point that year due to an unexpected design feature of the new test which caused scores to be much more bunchy and clumpy
- PSAT: How many questions can I miss on the new one to theoretically . . .
PSAT score gives double weighting to the math questions, so the math answers ended up contributing 1 2 of the PSAT score This round, NM cutoff will be based on a Selection Index, not on the PSAT score, where all the questions have even weighting, which means the math questions only contribute 1 3
- Digital PSAT Adaptive Testing - College Confidential Forums
My 8th grader took the Digital PSAT 8 9 this Fall and the results we just got appear to be completely wrong It’s really strange The details – he took the PSAT 8 9 at school The results that show up in his account for the day he took the test are a 1520 on the actual PSAT (not the 8 9, which doesn’t even go to 1520)
- PSAT - Should my child study to reach National Merit Scholarship
The PSAT score ONLY matters your Jr year You have to be in the top 1% for your state The scholarship score changes from state to state The way PSAT and NMSQT (Nat Merit Score) scores are as follows: This is pretty straight forward: PSAT = English score out of 760 points + Math score out of 760 points = Your PSAT score To determine who get selected for National Merit Scholarships the scoring
- I cheated on PSAT - Test Preparation - College Confidential Forums
<p>I was really worried about the PSAT even though I shouldn’t have been; I have a 4 0+ GPA, and I’m just a pretty good student in general Everyone kept telling me how if one were to be a merit scholar, that he or she could almost be guaranteed to get into his or her college of choice I was pretty scared and thought I need to make sure I was a merit scholar to get into my dream school
- When should my daughter start preparing for PSAT? Please Share your . . .
“The PSAT NMSQT and PSAT 8 9 will be delivered digitally in 2023 with the PSAT 10 following in 2024 ” If you plan on doing any prep, I would *research the new format in more detail to know what PSAT format your student will take in 2022, what PSAT format they will take in 2023 and what format SAT they will take
- I scored a 1270: Is this a good score? - Applying to College - College . . .
Not really relevant when discussing PSAT scores, which are on a different scoring scale I’ll definitely disagree First, the OP wants to know what a good score is in order to attend UMich I made the OP aware of the current median SAT score of accepted students at UMich The objective of the OP is to attend UMich
