Try looking at the upper right of the new version and see if it says "Try the new Outlook", if it does make sure that it is turned OFF I did this and it then gave me the old interface which allowed me to have non-Outlook accounts etc Hopefully this will work for all struggling with the new version which simply no longer allows much to work
