  • Death Valley - What is worth seeing and avoiding? : r NationalPark - Reddit
Excellent hiking options in both, and you can spend more time exploring, less time driving With road closures at Death Valley, your options are limited and the most direct route to the park from Vegas is closed (or was last time I checked) Death Valley has so much to see, I would save it for a time when you can spend at least a couple days

Continue West and you’ll see the highest point in the continental US… Mt Whitney (kind of neat to see after visiting the lowest point in Badwater) You’ll the make a left on Hwy 395… I usually get gas in Olancha because there really isn’t that many chances until you get to Tehachapi Oh, you won’t be alone in Death Valley…

I'm visiting Death Valley for the first time tomorrow There's so much I want to see but time might be an issue I tried to put together an itinerary and would love some feedback Everything on here can be moved around, we just want to watch the sunset and end our day at the dunes
  • Las Vegas to Death Valley - Trip Itinerary : r nationalparks - Reddit
I recommend to get to, Zabriskie Point, at least 15, minutes before sunrise I would say this was the highlight of the trip, and what we did on the first morning We literally flew out of South Florida at 8pm the night before, landed in Vegas and drove overnight to get there for sunrise
