- Electric field norm - what is it? - COMSOL
When I'm processing results, say plotting 2D surface plots, COMSOL provides a list of expressions it can evaluate But how do I know what these are exactly? What, for example, is being plotted when I select emw normE (electric field norm) Is that the electric field magnitude of the component normal to the surface? Or some 'normalised' electric
- What is the expression of the instantaneous electric field . . . - COMSOL
The reason the two results are different is that in the frequency domain, the electric field is represented as a COMPLEX quantity That is, the components emw Ex, emw Ey, and emw Ez are all complex numbers The variable emw normE is the magnitude of the complex vector This magnitude is fixed, as the phase varies
- Expression of instantaneous electric field, normEi. - COMSOL
Dear all, I am using Wave optics physics, Electromagnetic Waves, frequency domain (ewfd) and trying plot out the E field I get confused when compared ewfd normE (Electrec field norm) and ewfd normEi (instantaneous electric field norm)
- Plot of NormE - COMSOL
The component of the electric field gives the expected result( wave like paatern) while normE looks a bit strange Also the pattern of normE changes with change in inident angle So can you help me understanding this behaviour Why the normE is not appeared as a wave in the figures while the electric field appered as a wave
- Electric Field Norm - Time Dependent Study - COMSOL
If you replace your surface plot of ec normE with (for example) ec Ex, you will see that the color changes with the sign of Ex, as you step through the different times Likewise, if you replace ec normE with ec Ex in your middle-of-the-model point-graph plot That's just the x component, but you could look at y separately if you want
- Plotting Electric Field Gradient and Dome-shaped Electrical . . . - COMSOL
I am using AC DC module to simulate the electric field distribution over a microelectrode when applying AC input voltage I manged to get the total electric field distribution E (V m) over the microelectrode, its expression is "ec normE" However, I have two problems: 1) How can I plot the electric field gradient ∇|E2|? Its unit is (V2 m3)
- The meaning of electric fiel norm: normE_rfwv - COMSOL
normE_rfwv (electric field norm) is not the norm that I was thinking about, i e it is NOT sqrt(Ex^2+Ey^2+Ez^2), it is NOT sqrt(Ex^2+Ey^2) either It is the AMPLITUDE of the TRANSVERSE electric field, or Maximum(sqrt(Ex^2+Ey^2), it does not change with phase Ez is out of phase with Ex Ey, so it is not included Please let me know if I am wrong
- Plotting Electric Field in RF Module - COMSOL
the electric field E is a vector with complex components in the frequency domain In time domain it is a real vector So you can look at its magnitude, that is normE, or at its components Ex is the real part, for its magnitude you can use abs(Ex), for the imaginary part imag(Ex) Cheers Edgar-----Edgar J Kaiser emPhys Physical Technology
