- Skyscanner - safe to buy tickets??? - Rick Steves
This is actually quite common with travel websites, not just with Skyscanner Off the top of my head, I can think of seeing this regularly on Kayak and Orbitz – a good fare isn't really available once you start clicking through to purchase It wastes a lot of time and, obviously, isn't all that helpful for purchasing IMHO
- Possible silly question about Skyscanner - Rick Steves
I usually use Skyscanner only for intra-Europe flights, but am trying it out now for a trip next May Whenever I call up details for a flight that requires a connection I see the notation "connect in airport," which seems odd--where else would a person access a connecting flight? Does this phrase have any meaning other than the obvious?
- Skyscanner Website - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Yes, Skyscanner is legit It's possible that what you might be seeing with the difference in pricing is that the prices Skyscanner quotes have "expired " I've run into that before You run a scan, get a price, and then go to purchase and when it tries to verify the price it quoted, you can't get it
- Skyscanner Success! - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Skyscanner is a website, kind of like KAYAK but offering cheaper connecting flights We also wanted to spend 4 days in Paris before starting our tour Imagine the following airline plans: French Bee to Paris, Air Italia to Palermo, Ryan Air from Cantania to Rome, West Jet to Calgary, Alaska Airlines to Portland, OR
- eDreams - Rick Steves Travel Forum
I used Skyscanner which takes you to about 5 booking companies Normally, RyanAir is one of them, but in this case, they were not listed so I chose eDreams The charge is pending as RyanAir blocked them - I'm worried I will be held accountable for the charge even if I don't verifiy with RyanAir
- Was it a big mistake to buy an airline ticket from Skyscanner
I've used Skyscanner in the past and it's been fine People warn against booking through such sites, because it's easier to deal with a problem, if one arises, if you've booked directly with the airline But that doesn't mean that the site is bad or a scam
- Multi-city vs two one way tickets - Rick Steves Travel Forum
What is the general advantage of booking multi-city instead of two one way tickets I was on Skyscanner, used multi-city, and chose booking with the airline It then recommended I book the two flights separately anyway Is this an airline thing? Airline is TAP EDIT: Thanks for the input, everyone Helpful info
- Google Flights, Kayak, or ? or ? Which is better - Rick Steves
Kayak is owned by the parent company of Priceline Skyscanner is Chinese owned Google Flights makes most of its money by selling the software to airlines and travel companies and a small amount from bookings Kayak and Skyscanner make their money from ticket sales via their website
