The one you reference (the SM Pro, along with the SM Comp) is the lowest weight rating of the Ergon mountain bike saddles, at 220 lbs But if you like Ergon, you have heavier options The Ergon SM E-Mountain Core Prime and the SMC Core are rated to 308 lbs The SM Sport is rated to 264 lbs (this one will be the closest to the SM Pro you tried out)

I've run Ergon grips and they are really good About the only drawback I've found are fragile endcaps The GE1 Factory grips are my favorite for all types of trail riding AM to XC For different hand positions, and climbing grip they are great The pattern feels great even on bare hands, even when a bit damp
