- DMV website is telling me title number does not exist when I try to . . .
I had my car inspected Friday and had the same problem - when the mechanic sent the information in, the computer said the car wasn't in the system When I called the DMV, the support person told me that they had been having problems with the computers and that the program would "catch up" once the problems were resolved
- NJ DMV no longer accepting birth certificates prior to 1965 (Jersey . . .
I just went to my DMV office to renew my drivers license and was told as of May 1, 2012 my NY birth certificate will not be accepted anymore! I have to get a 'certified' birth certificate since mine was created prior to 1965 I have the original one and I am just rolling my eyes as to how it's not valid anymore
- Does your state include height weight on your license? (DMV, law . . .
There's a tape measure stuck to a pole somewhere in the DMV, but the guy at the counter told me to just guess rather than measure myself 08-22-2012, 06:58 PM Tezcatlipoca
- What do classic plates actually entitle me to? (assessor, DMV)
I can't really find this information, maybe i'm not using the right keywords or looking at the wrong parts of the dmv website I'm looking at a 1990 vehicle, which qualifies for registeration as a "classic" car in CT What benefits do I get for registering as a classic? I know i'd be limited as far as cannot use it as a daily driver Anything else?
- Confusion on Right of Way rules (DMV, law, legal) - Raleigh, Durham . . .
I've always understood that the person who has right of way is the person who will clear traffic I e I've come to this situation in a turnaround before (not a crossroads, which are generally guided by traffic lights), and rights have the right of way over my turning left, because I'm in a turn lane and not "in traffic"
- Best place for car inspections in Rochester (Greece, Howard: DMV, codes . . .
OK, Mr know-it-all, for any car that has OBD II or newer computer systems, the car is plugged into a code reader that is directly linked to the NY DMV's data collection system The state's system then reads the data that the car's on board diagnostic system provides
- What do I do if I lost my ct emissions postcard? (Milford: DMV, assess)
Thank you but, to confirm, I pay the fine at the location (i e the local garage) where I do the emissions testing (rather than paying the fine online directly to the DMV)? Does the local place even know I'm late (i e do they have a link to the DMV)? I thought I saw (though now I can't find where) that it said to pay the DMV directly
