- Any Input on Daiwa Spinning Reels: BG 2500 vs Fuego 2500
I don't have these exact models But I do have a few new Daiwa spinning reels The rg, exceller, and the legalis They are all fantastic reels! Daiwa makes a great spinner They outcast all my others I repair reels so I see them all and Daiwa is excellent I looked at the specs for the two reels and I would buy the bg, but either one would be

Both will work for walleyes Size 47 are more your salmon type reels bigger than the 27s generally walleye the sealines are your higher end reels one step up from daiwa entry level accudepth line (nothing wrong with accudepths ) the materials used maybe a little diff the great lakes model was a older style reel no longer made all depends on age condition of reels line etc anywhere from 25 to 75

Hi The Pawl, and Pawl cap have came off of my Daiwa 17LC linecounter They keep the line guide tight; as it goes back and forth when winding Actually the reel still works, but the line is balled up in one spot on the spool Anybody every have this happen with a reel?

I started with some Daiwa Accudepth 8' Medium rods and they had too much flex for Dipsy's so I went with some Daiwa Sealine combos from Cabela's The rods had great backbone - believe they were graphite because they weren't large diameter - but while i've been happy with the Daiwa line counter reels in my experience, the rods don't seem to hold
