southwest seems to be the cue that nearly every taiwanese top player uses now a lot of the production cues over there are SW style knockoffs (some of which play pretty good) i always wondered how the SW obsession got started in Taiwan

I had the coolest Mcdermott prototype cue, that had a D Series forearm, with sharp points and veneers, and Knight inlays in the butt sleeve, kind of like what I see in that Joss By the way, I would highly recommend a Mcdermott over a Joss, because I feel the Mcdermott is a better cue, and they have far better customer service, in my experience

My advice would to be buy the cheapest carbon fiber cue they can find Carbon helps lower level players and beginners It allows them to just point and aim As for giving advice to my younger self about cues, buy the most expensive cue you can buy You'll actually spend less money in the long run
