Thank you Axel, I restarted the phone but it didn’t work so, I had to reset the phone entirely by doing what you’re suggesting above but without releasing the side button until I plugged the phone to my laptop with iTunes up, and I saw the “plug in phone” sign on the screen once doing that, iTunes asked me if I wanted to restore reset the iPhone and I said yes
