  • Anyone using FortiEDR? : r fortinet - Reddit
I am looking at EDR solutions and did a demo of FortiEDR today My only comparison at the moment is the SentinelOne demo I did yesterday, but will be looking at other products Not a lot of people in general in online communities who talk about FortiEDR enSilio (it's all CrowdStrike, Cylance, and SentinelOne) so it's hard to find honest feedback
  • FortiEDR vs FortiClient (FortiEMS) : r fortinet - Reddit
FortiEDR (with MDR and XDR versions) are similar to SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, etc with AI ML-based detection and learning, ransomware protection, and more advanced features that you would probably want to be using now compared to traditional AV Greater visibility into monitoring, better response, analysis, etc if you go with the XDR version
  • FortiEDR experiences anyone : r fortinet - Reddit
If you read the results in depth you see that FortiEDR does not tag everyting via Mitre Tagging (and thus receives a lower score)but it actually blocks 100% off the payload in all the tests This is based on behaviour and very powerfull unlike Microsoft which relies heavy on signatures So I’d rather have FortiEDR or other EDRplayers than MS
  • FortiEDR - Exception Evaluation : r fortinet - Reddit
I'm currently running a PoC with FortiEDR (5 2 0) and face a strange issue Clients are running in simulation mode, then we are adding exception before moving to protection mode (as expected) But at a point, and not on all endpoint (4 out of 100), some of the application start to crash on the endpoint
  • FortiEDR slowness : r fortinet - Reddit
We have experienced other applications being slow as well such as Y E S management (auto software) It is very weird how it affects random applications and in the case of Dynamics you can disable enable FortiEDR and the slowness will be back in a few hours but not instantly However disabling FortiEDR makes the problem go away instantly
  • FortiEDR : r fortinet - Reddit
we've had FortiEdr in for almost a year, its intrusive, it stops services on our servers, we have several auto-updating spreadsheets that run to display data and it stops them from updating when it hits that process, its been blocking java processes so we whitelisted it and it continues to block it, so we whitelisted a larger scope surrounding java and it still blocks it, it blocked the dell
  • Opinions on FortiSOAR,FortiEDR, FortiSASE : r fortinet - Reddit
FortiEDR is a good choice for endpoint protection FortiSOAR is really great product, but a big company play, or if you have the staff, SOC as a service play, not really suitable for smaller businesses due to cost and up front complexity (someone has to configure it, and maintain it)
  • FortiEDR and FortiClient incompatibility? : r fortinet - Reddit
Our MDR provider manages our endpoints using FortiEDR and we use FortiClient for remote access, anti-virus, web-filtering, etc We were using FortiClient 6 2 7 After upgrading users to 6 4 9 many of them experienced network access being lost; no Internet, as if network adapters were disabled We're on FortiEDR version 5 0 3 559 by the way
