No I wouldn't trust a website without any oversight I hope none of you do too At least if it's here, on Reddit, there is some community involvement in that list and any wrongdoing can stop that website from being on a list

Have you tried a different emulator? Roms are indistinguishable on 99% of sites these days And the sites with distinguished roms are either hosting rom hacks or bad dumps from 1999, and you're unlikely to run into bad dumps anymore as the proper ones got uploaded to the internet and everyone rushed to mirror them
